Photography Workshops information

Scott
I stand guilty of prejudice, but I feel that workshops are the best means of achieving photographic growth. Nothing can be as informative as the exchange of information & viewpoints while immersed in photography for an extended period without the distractions of day to day life. Always keep an open mind. Consider new methods & approaches. Seek to expand your own frontiers. Photography is a continuing, growing process. Keep growing. There's always another valid approach, another new insight. KEEP SEARCHING
Join me on one of my workshops & see where I can take you in your photographic journey.

Testimonials

I attended Scott's Autumn Colours Workshop this April 2015, and I was blown away with the whole weekend, so much in fact I have booked 2 more of Scott's exciting workshops!!
Whether you are a novice photographer like me, or a pro, there is much to be learnt with Scott's action packed, informative and fun weekend. Scott is a true professional, friendly and very knowledgeable and patient. He creates a fun environment, encourages you to learn and grow at your own pace, but at the same time he pushes the boundaries, shares his many tips and tricks to get the best out of your camera, and learn the secrets of the Nik post processing software package. Scott knows all of the Hot Spots at Otematata Station - a unique place that I felt very privileged to be able to stay and enjoy the spectacular scenery and the many old, old relics around the property. From the basic fundamentals of composition and lighting I also learnt a lot about portraiture, ghosting, shooting in the dark, macro and so much more. I can't wait until August and November for the next workshops.
If you want to really get to know how to use your camera, gain the confidence with learning some simple and amazing techniques, get the best out of your lenses and softward and have a whole lot of fun. then you want to book one of Scott;'s workshops. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! --Rowena Richards, Queenstown

Scott Fowler Workshops
I was delighted to be invited to a recent workshop. I have long recognised Scott as an outstandingly skilled and enthusiastic photographer. He is also a respectful, patient, knowledgeable and encouraging teacher. I have no hesitation in recommending his workshops to photographers seeking to take their work up to the next level at a location with loads of opportunities.

I have attended a couple of these workshops and am amazed by the easy at which Scott teaches his honed skills. His intimate knowledge of the Otematata Station is incredible and can only be put down to his work there for several years as a musterer.
Scott is enthusiastic and very keen to take fellow photographer to the next level with opportunities such as time on this station and his wonderful post processing skills that he teaches on the workshop are well worth it. I have put my name down to do another workshop, and would encourage anyone to do so as well.
Thanks Julia Home APSNZ.

I loved this course! If you are a beginner or a pro, you will find something in this course to stimulate and develop your existing skills.
Getting to know my camera and the computer software I already owned were a highlight for me. It's the things I didn't know, or half-knew, where the course was a huge benefit. I've learnt so much that I am now putting into practice.
Scott is very knowledgeable and his professional comments and critique on my images helped in motivating me to continue to grow as a photographer
I learned a lot about my own strengths and weaknesses as well. Scott was always very helpful with a good sense of humour he made our course enjoyable and challenging.
This course allowed me to improve on my photography techniques and encouraged me to feel confident about the technical aspects of what you were shooting including lighting, composition.
If you are not sure about taking this course, I honestly say: Go for it!.. Sandra Hobbs APSNZ

I attended 3 of Scotts workshops this year and in the beginning I was a very green photographer, not even knowing how to use my camera properly! Within 8 months of learning from him I now have received honours, highly commended and acceptances for my photos - all shot on manual!
Aside from Scotts indominatable passion for photography, his vast knowledge and the success that he has achieved internationally, he is a down to earth guy who wants to share what he has learned and help others to achieve the same success.
I would highly recommend his workshops no matter what stage you are at with photography as he is quite able to cater to all levels at the same time. Robbie Corbett Christchurch Photographic Society member
