Focus on Creative Photography

Needs a name

A weekend of creative photography, full of Inspiration and education from a very knowledgeable, patient and experienced instructor, guide, safety officer, yarn spinner Scott Fowler EFIAP, PPSA,APSNZ.
The weekend start on the Friday lunchtime and generally finishes on the Monday at lunchtime.

The weekends are flexible to make it easy to adjust the weekend to suit the wide variety of skills of participants that will attend.

Friday we normally spend time around the main station area, just playing, getting into the feel of the area and just taking it easy getting to know everyone on the course. We might have the models join us for part of this, and this is a great opportunity to get to know them. If the weather allows we may go out at night and do some Astro.

PreLamb Shearing-1

A TYPICAL DAY
Usually starts with Scott getting up early and seeing if a sunrise is going to happen, if so he wakes the group up, not compulsory, if not you get to sleep a bit longer. I usually have everyone up having breakfast around 7.30am, you supply your own breakfast. During this time we often discuss the coming day activities, play with an image, discuss the dynamics of capturing images. Depending on weather conditions depends often what and where we will venture too. Old buildings, machinery, big skies, small harbour, portraiture, macro, creative plus much more. Astro photography if weather permitting.
We spend time during the weekend visiting and using the various buildings and machinery to achieve portraiture, being creative, playing with light, trying new techniques, looking at a scene and capturing it creatively.
In the evenings we spend the time to process the images from the day, sharing our shots, trying new ideas under the guidance of Scott.
No pressure this is a learning environment where you move along at your pace with a patient and helpful push from Scott.
Scott encourages students to bring props to use during the weekend.
